Vintage Unmarked Plumb Jersey – Single Bit Axe – Mirror Polished

Very desirable Round Lug Jersey pattern, this single bit axe head has been completely restored, refinished, and is razor sharp. Head has been polished to a mirror finish on all surfaces – no breaks, chips, or repairs and has a clean eye. Overall, this piece is in near flawless condition and the pictures do not do it justice – look at the reflections in each picture and judge for yourself!!!! Ready to be proudly displayed as a piece of art.

The head had red Permabond in eye, which is indicative of the Plumb brand.

New ash handle has been HAND-SHAPED, hand sanded, and hand-rubbed with multiple coats of boiled linseed oil for a clean, smooth look and feel. Handle has a compact profile and feels great in hand. Clean seal around top and bottom of eye – handle sticks out from head approximately 3/16” and has a straight-grain pattern and has be set with a walnut wedge.

DOES NOT COME WITH A SHEATH

Comes packaged in a wooded box that is hand built and custom-fitted to the axe – also comes protected in a full-length cotton sleeve.

Polished by me on my equipment – I would never chrome an axe!

**Disclaimer** During the forging process, TINY imperfections may still exist in the head that cannot be sanded out in the form of slight “winkles” and “dimples”
