Collins Red Seal half hatchet has been completely customized, modified, and is ready for business. Head has been modified to have a sharp point and custom profiled to have a semi-bearded look and has been polished to a mirror finish on all surfaces – no breaks, repairs, or chips and is in near flawless condition. Head has hand honed, razor-sharp cutting edge. Clean stamp on the front of head – look closely at all the pictures, which do not do this beautiful piece justice.

New hickory handle has been HAND CARVED, hand sanded, and hand-rubbed with multiple coats of boiled linseed oil for a clean, smooth look and feel. Handle has a compact profile and feels great in hand. Clean seal around top and bottom of eye – handle sticks out from head approximately 3/16” and has a straight-grain pattern.

This hatchet is a work of art, I would not advise putting it back into service!!

Polished by me on my equipment, I would never chrome an axe!!
